Side Effects ....

Hi,
I notice when ever I needle my UB-23s (along w/Du-4), the next day I suffer from dryness and constipation.. I am looking for possible explanaitions because aside from this side effect I am getting great results.

I have also noticed dryness and constipation when I work on other UB points as well.. is there a solution to this?

Tounge Diagnosis:
Before Treating UB-23 : Pale, white coating (Mostly in the back)

After Treating UB-23: Less Pale , a little yellow shows on top of white coating.

Note: I have tried treating SJ-6 to get ride of the constipation. This point works well generally.. but not in this case!

Found the problem,
There is a 2nd condition that was causing the constipation,
It is dryness in the lung that is manifesting as heat dryness in the large intestine,
Started needling LI 2, SP 6 , REN 12, Ki 6, REN 4, LI 11, ST 36, and LU9 and the constipation magically disapeared!

Oh, and I also added UB-28 to the first treatment mentioned above (D-4 + UB23's) to clear bladder heat.

My guess is when I was originally trying to drain the damp in the bladder it was causing extra dryness in the Large Intestine and therefore constipation was showing as a side effect.
