What is Self Healing ?

Postby HealthyBudz » Wed May 27, 2015 5:23 pm

Self healing energy occurs through the ability of the individual to tap into the inner resources found within us all. This may apply to different forms of alternative methods of physical or spiritual self healing. Among the more popular forms are:

Reiki – the most common type of all
Acupuncture/acupressure
Qigong
Pranic Healing
Emotional Touch Therapy (ETT)
Healing Touch Therapy (HTT)
Polarity Healing
A powerful way to connect with yourself is a steady inquiry of your sense of identity applied to your daily activities, reactions, feelings, sensations and night dreaming.

Yet, for many, the major way to accomplish this is through some form of energy healing meditation. This practice is part of several meditation practices.

The best form of self healing is reflective practice..
Reflect on what your body finds beneficial, every one is unique.
To define effective you need to define purpose.
Purpose may be more energy, reflective is to filter the food by how it makes you feel. Eat it and see what happens, if your body likes it repeat it.
If your thought process is causing excessive strain on all your bodies systems (stress will do this your body is a endocrine reactive switch to your thoughts) redefine how you think and why you do it, be effective. Change is always required, but your thought process is up to you, and you alone, You choose how you think and what you do. Experiment.... have fun, listen to your body.
Think, do, review..

I am interested with Reiki. How is it? you need to follow what have been told you by the reiki healer? My friend tried this and she was given a list of to do's to heal her from her past bad relationships. What about yoga is it also a form of self healing?

An important part of self-healing is to reflect upon your day before you go to sleep. Look back at what happened, what you said, what you did, what you felt, what you thought... See your reactions. Notice what came out of your subconscious to affect your actions. Be careful not to judge yourself or defend your actions. Be careful not to blame others. Just seek to understand how your life is expressing and to see how certain thoughts and emotions are affecting your health. Then through time, you cultivate peace and better health.

Here is a quote that helps... (The section of Yueji in the Liji from the book, Rooted in Spirit)
"From the first moment of existence, one’s Heart is in a place of the most absolute calm (it is free of all desire); Heaven creates it in this state. Soon external objects act on it and produce diverse movements; these are desires that add themselves to its nature (to its original state). In the presence of external objects, one has the faculty (or the desire) to know them; when one knows them, one experiences feelings of attraction for some and feelings of revulsion for others. If one does not master these feelings, one lets oneself be drawn towards external things and becomes incapable of returning within oneself (and regulating the movements of the Heart); one loses the good tendencies one has received from Heaven."

Reflection at the end of the day helps us master the 5-element feelings that disrupt our original harmony. Reflection helps us return to the original state of good health.
