UB67 (Urinary Bladder 67) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Zhiyin
English Name: Reaching Yin
Location: On the lateral side of the little toe, about 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail
Precautions: Acupuncture contraindicated on this point during pregnancy.
Nature:
Jing-Well point of the Bladder channel.
Functions:
Courses Wind in the vertex, regulates pregnancy and childbirth; corrects fetal position, clears the brain and clears the vision, eliminates dampness, relieves pain anywhere in the body, rules all disorders of head and face.
Primary Indications:
Headache, eye pain.
Secondary Indications:
Difficult labour.
Tertiary Indications:
Nasal obstruction, epistaxis, retained placenta, malpositioned fetus, nebula, soles of feet hot, skin disorders, loss of consciousness, lin syndrome, seminal emission, irritability, Wei syndrome.
Other Indications:
Pain sometimes in chest, sometimes in flank, Yin malaria without sweating, pain at knee and ankle joints, swelling of knee and foot.
