UB57 (Urinary Bladder 57) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Chengshan
English Name: Mountain Support

Location: When the foot is in full plantar flexion (as if standing on tiptoe), this point can be found at the apex of the triangular shaped hollow formed in the middle of the calf, midway between Weizhong (UB40) and the level of the lateral malleolus (ie: 8 cun below Weizhong UB40)

Benefits haemorrhoids, relaxes the muscle channels.

Primary Indications:

Haemorrhoids, spasm of gastrocnemius, low back pain.

Tertiary Indications:

Constipation, foot swelling, leg pain, heel and foot pain, indigestion, vomiting and diarrhea, poor appetite, paralysis of lower limbs.

Other Indications:

Sore throat, painful glomus in the chest and diaphram, adenitis, prolapsed anus, enterorrhagia, cold attack with hypersecretion, myalgia, internal and external trauma, swelling of knee, swelling of lower limb.
