UB52 (Urinary Bladder 52) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Zhishi
English Name: Will Chamber

Location: 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra.


Reinforces the Kidneys and nourishes Jing (essence), promotes urination and eliminates Dampness.

Primary Indications:

Seminal emission, lin syndrome, low back pain and stiffness.

Tertiary Indications:

Impotence, prostatitis, edema, nephritis, poor digestion, vomiting, genital swelling/pain/sores, cholera, enuresis, fullness/pain in sides.

Other Indications:

Cannot swallow food, abdominal distension, irregular menstruation, eczema of the scrotum, genital disorders, genitourinary diseases, paralysis of lower limb.
