UB30 (Urinary Bladder 30) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Baihuanshu
English Name: White Ring Shu

Location: 1.5 cun lateral to the midline of the sacrum at the level of the fourth sacral foramen.

Functions:

Warms Yang and regulates menses, regulates the Lower Jiao.

Primary Indications:

Seminal emission, irregular menses, vaginal discharge, low back and hip pain.

Tertiary Indications:

Hernia pain, sciatica, wei syndrome of lower limbs, spasms of anal sphincter/difficult defecation, constipation, rectal prolapse, lin syndrome, colic.

Other Indications:

Cannot sleep for a long time, vacuity heat block, tuberculosis with intermittent fever, Yang (heat) malaria, apoplexy due to Yin (cold), chronic peritonitis, enuresis, dysmenorrhea, excessive uterine bleeding, muscualr contractures, sacral paralysis, sequelae of infantile paralysis, atrophy of arm.
