UB26 (Urinary Bladder 26) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Guanyuanshu
English Name: Yuan Gate Shu

Location: 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the fifth lumbar vertebra.


Regulates the Lower Jiao, dispels Wind and Cold, transforms Damp stagnation, strengthens the low back and knees.

Primary Indications:

Diarrhea, low back pain.

Tertiary Indications:

Sciatica, abdominal distension, lin syndrome, enuresis, diabetes.

Other Indications:

Insomnia, chronic peritonitis, anemia, impotence, ovaritis, wind attack to Kidneys, wind taxation, concretions and conglomerations, uterus spasm, all female circulatory disorders.
