UB16 (Urinary Bladder 16) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Dushu
English Name: Dumai Shu

Location: 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the sixth thoracic vertebra.


Back-Shu point of the Du mai.


Expands the chest and regulates Qi.

Primary Indications:

Cardiac pain.

Tertiary Indications:

Abdominal pain with borborygmus, contravection of Qi in chest and diaphgram.

Other Indications:

Troubles of energy, alopecia, mastitis, intercostal neuralgia, pruritus, psoriasis.
