UB13 (Urinary Bladder 13) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Feishu
English Name: Lung Shu.

Location: 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the third thoracic vertebra.


Back-Shu point for Lung.


Regulates Lung Qi, clears heat from the Lung (both shi heat and xu heat), harmonizes Ying and blood, stops coughing.

Primary Indications:

Hemoptysis/spitting blood, asthma, cough/bronchitis.

Tertiary Indications:

Bone steaming fever, night sweats, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia, fullness or pain in chest and sides, pulmonary diseases, tonsillitis, goiter, skin disorders.

Other Indications:

Rhinorrhea, diseases or pain of nose shoulder or back, stomatitis, endocarditis, convulsions, insanity, vomiting, no pleasure in eating, abscence of sweating, deviation of spinal column, tension and stiffness in the back.
