ST8 (Stomach 8) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Touwei
English Name: Head Corner
Location: 0.5 cun within the anterior hairline at the corner of the forehead, 4.5 cun lateral to the midline.
Functions:
Dispels Wind (from the head), brightens the eyes (clears the vision), specific point for Phlegm-related dizziness or headache.
Primary Indications:
Headache, dizziness with blurred vision, eye pain, excessive lacrimation, twitching/spasms of eyelid.
Tertiary Indications:
Facial paralysis, dyspnea/chest fullness.
Other Indications:
Psychosis, cerebral congestion, hemiplegia.
