ST45 (Stomach 45) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Lidui
English Name: Strict Mouth
Location: On the lateral side of the 2nd toe, about 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail.
Nature:
Jing-Well point of the Stomach channel.
Functions:
Opens the orifices and clears the Shen (for resusciation and psychosis), clears Heat from Yangming, harmonizes the Stomach.
Primary Indications:
Facial swelling, deviation of mouth (facial paralysis), toothache, abdominal distension.
Secondary Indications:
Psychosis, much dreaming.
Tertiary Indications:
Epistaxis, sore throat/tonsillitis, cold leg and foot, fever, indigestion, hepatitis, loss of consciousness, epilepsy, insomnia, edema, gingivitis.
Other Indications:
Horeolum (stye), blocked nose, nose disoders, cracked lips, eats a lot, always hungry but stays thin, sleeps a lot, hydrarthrosis of knee, pain in thigh/calf and foot, lower limb inflammations.
