ST21 (Stomach 21) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Liangmen
English Name: Beam Door
Location: 4 cun above the umbilicus and 2 cun lateral to Zhongwan (REN12).
Functions:
Promotes the functions of Stomach and Spleen, strengthens the Spleen in transforming and transporting, harmonizes the Stomach and intestines, clears food stagnation.
Primary Indications:
Poor appetite, stomach pain.
Tertiary Indications:
Vomiting, abdominal distension, diarrhea, gastric ulcers, rectal prolapse, Qi accumulation in sides.
Other Indications:
Nervous dysfunction of the stomach, spasm of stomach and intestines, colic, digestive problems, shan pain.
