SP8 (Spleen 8) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Diji
English Name: Earth Pivot
Location: 3 cun below the medial condyle of the tibia, on the line connecting Yinlingquan (SP9) and the medial malleolus.
Nature:
Xi-Cleft point of the Spleen channel.
Functions:
Harmonizes the Blood, regulates the uterus, promotes spermatogenesis, major point for dysnmenorrhoea.
Primary Indications:
Poor appetite, dysentry, menstrual disorders (irregular menses / dysmenorrhoea / menorrhagia), spermatorrhoea, lin syndrome (dysuria).
Secondary Indications:
Oedema.
Tertiary Indications:
Abdominal pain, diarrhoea, abdominal distension, low back pain, haemorrhoids.
Other Indications:
Dyspepsia, leukorrhoea, "Bad blood" in abdomen in women, concretions and conglomerations in women, abnormal uterine bleeding, insufficient virility, visceral bi.
