SJ8 (Sanjiao 8) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Sanyangluo
English Name: Three Yang Luo
Location: On the dorsal surface of the forearm, 4 cun above the transverse wrist crease, between the radius and the ulna.
Functions:
Clears the channels and sensory orifices, traditionally contraindicated to needle, needle through to Ximen (PC4) in acupuncture anaesthesia for pulmonary lobectomy.
Primary Indications:
Sudden loss of voice, deafness, hand and arm pain.
Tertiary Indications:
Toothache, lassitude.
Other Indications:
Post-operative pain associated with pneumonectomy.
