SJ4 (Sanjiao 4) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Yangchi
English Name: Yang Pool
Location: At the junction of the ulna and carpal bones, in the depression lateral to the tendon of the muscle extensor digitorum communis.
Nature:
Yuan-Source point of the Sanjiao channel.
Functions:
Relaxes the sinews/tendons, clears the channels, relieves Heat, reinforces the Sanjiao, promotes the function of Chongmai and Renmai, special effects on rheumatism of the wrist.
Primary Indications:
Wrist pain, shoulder and arm pain.
Secondary Indications:
Malaria.
Tertiary Indications:
Deafness, thirst/dry mouth, diabetes, common cold, tonsillitis, retroversion of uterus.
Other Indications:
Eyes red and swollen, cold fingers, nervous spasms and paralysis of forearm muscles, degenerative diseases.
