SJ23 (Sanjiao 23) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Sizhukong
English Name: Silken Bamboo Hollow
Precautions: Ancient books prohibit the use of moxibustion at this point.
Location: In the depression at the lateral end of the eyebrow.
Functions:
Dispels Wind, clears Fire from the head, brightens the eyes (clears the vision), stops pain and lowers fever, this point may be bled.
Primary Indications:
Headache, eye disorders (eye inflammation, visual disturbance, keratoleukoma, ingrown eyelash, twitching of eyelid).
Tertiary Indications:
Facial paralysis, toothache, dizziness, epilepsy, depressive psychosis.
Other Indications:
Fear of Wind and Cold, vomiting of mucoid sputum.
