SI9 (Small Intestine 9) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Jianzhen
English Name: Shoulder Faithful
Location: With the arm adducted, this point can be found 1 cun above the posterior end of the axillary fold.
Primary Indications:
Pain in the scapular region.
Tertiary Indications:
Pain and motor impairment of hand and arm, tinnitus, deafness.
Other Indications:
Pain in supraclavicular fossa, scrofula, headache, toothache, swelling of the mandible, excessive perspiration in armpit, fever after catching cold - the patient presents with deafness/tinnitus and sensation of cold and pain the scapular region.
