REN5 (Conception Vessel 5) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Shimen
English Name: Stone Door

Location: On the anterior midline, 2 cun below the umbilicus.

Nature:

Front-Mu point of the Sanjiao

Functions:

Strengthens Original Qi, promotes the transformation and excretion of fluids in the Lower Burner, opens the Water passages.

Indications:

Abdominal pain, diarrhea, edema, hernia, anuria, enuresis, amenorrhea, morbid leukorrhea, uterine bleeding, postpartum hemorrhage.
