REN14 (Conception Vessel 14) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Juque
English Name: Great Palace

Location: In the midline of the epigastrium, 6 cun above the umbilicus.


Front-Mu point of the Heart.


Calms the Shen, regulates the Qi, pacifies the Stomach, benefits the diaphrahm.

Primary Indications:

Pain in heart and chest, nausea, dysphagia, acid regurgitation, vomiting.

Tertiary Indications:

Psychosis, epilepsy, palpitations, gastric spasm, hiccough, stomach pain, cough, jaundice, gastric ulcer, syncope in pregnancy, parasites in intestines or bile duct, cholera.

Other Indications:

Sensation of a bar in stomach, rectus spasm, pericarditis, pleurisy, anguish, fear, memory problems, energy problems of the Five Zang, shanghan (cold injury), pains due to Yin (Cold), lack of energy, hernia, plague, syncope with four limbs icy like a cadaver, cadaveric syncope, excess of mucoid sputum, drooling, discomfort in the diaphragm, fullness in chest with sensation of malaise and heat, stomach cancer, intestinal tuberculosis with hard knots in the abdomen, incessant dysentry, loss of appetite.
