LU6 (Lung 6) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Kong Zui
English Name: Convergence Hole; Extreme Hole; Opening Maximum;
Location: On the palmar aspect of the forearm, on the line joining Taiyuan (LU9) and Chize (LU5), 7 cun above Taiyuan (LU9).
Nature:
Xi-Cleft Point of the Lung channel.
Functions:
For acute obstruction or pain in the Lung channel or Lung organ, needle in acute crisis (Giov), for problems associated with stoppage of the circulation og Lung Qi (NVN), regulates & suppresses rebellious Lung Qi (Sh), regulates Lung Qi & makes it descend (Giov), cools heat & stops bleeding (Sh), eliminates heat in the Lung & stops bleeding (Giov), stops pain (Giov)
Primary Indications:
Cough, haemoptysis.
Tertiary Indications:
Asthma, sore throat, elbow & arm spasm & pain, haemorrhoids, headache, fever without sweating.
Other Indications:
Pneumonia, belching, vomiting blood.
