LU10 (Lung 10) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Yuji
English Name: Fish Border
Location: On the radial aspect of the midpoint of the first metacarpal bone, on the junction of the red and white skin (ie: the junction of the dorsum and palm of the hand)
Nature:
Ying-Spring point of the Lung channel.
Functions:
Cools heat in the Lungs, benefits the throat, eases the throat
Primary Indications:
Cough, haemoptysis.
Secondary Indications:
Sore throat.
Tertiary Indications:
Loss of voice, fever, dyspnoea/asthma, pain in chest & back, abdominal pain, irritability.
Other Indications:
Syncope, infantile malnutrition syndrome, all disorders due to alcoholism, fear of wind, chills, headache, eye-dizziness, yellow tongue, patient cannot eat, vomiting blood, rheumatism of the elbow; cannot extend the arm, swelling of the limbs, swelling of the chin, wandering bi, abcess of the nipple.
