KI9 (Kidney 9) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Zhubin
English Name: Guest House
Location: About 5 cun above Taixi (KI3) and 2 cun posterior to the medial margin of the tibia, at the lower end of the belly of gastrocnemius muscle.
Nature:
Xi-Cleft point of Yinweimai
Functions:
Calms the Shen, clears the Heart and transforms phlegm, resolves toxin and relieves pain.
Primary Indications:
Pain in medial aspect of lower leg.
Secondary Indications:
Psychosis.
Tertiary Indications:
Hernia, orchitis, drug detoxification, epilepsy.
Other Indications:
Vomiting saliva, absence of milk, colic, abnormal menstruation, pelvic inflammatory disease, nephritis, cystitis, swollen tongue, decline of vital dynamism, muscle spasm.
