HT6 (Heart 6) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Tongli
English Name: Communication with the Inside
Location: On the radial side of the tendon of flexor carpi ulnaris, 0.5 cun above the transverse crease on the palmar aspect of the wrist.
Nature:
Xi-Cleft point of the Heart channel.
Functions:
Tonifies Heart Yin, special point for night sweats.
Primary Indications:
Cardiac pain, palpitations.
Secondary Indications:
Night sweats.
Tertiary Indications:
Neuraesthenia, haematemesis, epistaxis, vaginal discharge.
Other Indications:
Pulmonary tuberculosis, brachial neuralgia, disorders of energy/chills, profuse perspiration with fear of cold, headache, vertigo, cholera with contractures, sudden atony of tongue, fullness in the chest.
