GB24 (Gall Bladder 24) - Acupuncture Point Information
Chinese Name: Riyue
English Name: Sun Moon
Location: In the 7th intercostal space, below the nipple (one intercostal space below Qimen LIV14).
Nature:
Front-Mu point for the Gall Bladder.
Functions:
Clears Damp-Heat, harmonizes the Middle Jiao.
Primary Indications:
Pain in ribs and sides, vomiting/acid regurgitation, hiccough.
Secondary Indications:
Jaundice.
Tertiary Indications:
Gastric ulcer, stomach pain, cholecystitis, sighing/groaning, lower abdominal heat sensations.
Other Indications:
Speaks indistinctly, wants to run, somnolence, acute and chronic hepatitis, abdominal distension, borborygmi, diarrhea, paralysis of four limbs, mastitis.
