CO15 (Colon 15) - Acupuncture Point Information

Chinese Name: Jianyu
English Name: Shoulder Clavicle

Location: When the arm is in full abduction, the point is in the anterior depression of the two depressions appearing at the anterior border of the acromioclavicular joint.

Functions:

Eliminates Wind, removes obstruction from the Jing-Luo, soothes the joints (especially shoulder), this point has wide repercusions and remarkable curative effect.

Primary Indications:

Pain in shoulder and arm, upper limb paralysis.

Tertiary Indications:

Wind-Heat rash, scrofula, hemiplegia, hypertension.

Other Indications:

Excessive sweating, goitre, ganglia in the neck, eczema, spasms of hand and arm, arthritis, toothache, apoplexy, paralysis of the four limbs, spermatorrhoea, torticollis, prolonged fever after catching cold, complexion lacks brightness.
